Sugarfrost Flowers

Like most of the rest of the UK, things have turned pretty wintery here at Halfway up a Hill. Last night we had our first frost of the year, a pretty heavy one for the end of October.

This morning the few remaining flowers in the garden looked as if they had been sprinkled with sugar...

Coo! Now if only it was sugar... you could eat a few! Tho' I would have trouble eating anything that beautiful, so maybe not. Jane is right, you are good at this photography lark. Maybe make some prints and sell them?

Hope you are keeping warm and well. You will need a curl-up with cat session ideally under the duvet.

Thinking of you and hoping you are free of the dreaded lurgi.

They are wonderful photo's, what camera do you use? My sister lives in Halifax and she called yesterday afternoon to say it was snowing. What weather we are having - although it may kill off all the germs doing the rounds.

Thanks, glad everyone likes my photos!

The camera is a Fujifilm S3100 Finepix (if that means anything to anyone - it doesn't really to me!), and strictly speaking it belongs to T. Luckily, he has agreed that I get custody as I'm the one who mostly uses it.

I have thought of selling some prints as people generally seem to like my photos (and there are a few I'm very proud of), but I have no clue how to go about this. Anyone reading this have any useful pointers/tips? Quite frankly I could use the income, so I'd be very grateful for any helpful advice!

The cats and I (all lurgi free at present) are snuggled cosily round the fire keeping warm. Hope all of you are cosy & healthy too.

In terms of selling prints you could do it two ways: post your prints on etsy, or have a notice on your blog that all photographs are available to buy and list a price per size. Try tesco online for print costs - when you open an account with them you tend to get credits for so many free prints. otherwise see which online photo processors are offering the best deals. Check out etsy and see what other sellers are listing their photo's for - you could easily charge £5 per print and only pay pence online for processing.
Hope this helps!

Exquisite pictures! Wow.

I'm hoping for a good frost sometime soon. For us, a freeze means the bug season is officially over.
