Moonroot and the Moon

Last night the skies were clear, and the almost-full moon spilled her light on a landscape of black-and-silver. As I drew the bedroom curtains closed Halfway Up a Hill, I could see mist hanging in shimmering swathes in the river valley below. A tawny owl quavered.

I got back out of bed and pulled the curtains wide open. I would not have done this before, for fear of the brightness disturbing T's sleep. But now it is just me and the moon.

I bathed all night in her sweet, pure light. It felt soothing on my eyelids, comforting to my bruised heart. I slept deeply, peacefully, and awoke refreshed.

From now on, I will leave the curtains open and welcome the moon into my bedroom. Because I can.

Yes you can, and what an incredible picture. To bathe in moonlight is wonderful, and to celebrate the moon at all her phases is such an empowering and edifying thing to do. Enjoy the blessings of the full moon!

Happy beautiful harvest moon to you dear Moonroot.

You know the moon, too, benefits from being in relationship with you.

You are free now to do whatever you want. Bravo!

Wow...beautiful!...bathing in moonlight because you can...yeh!...
When my ex had left i took down the black yes black! curtain which he had wanted to keep out the light. Now it is replaced by a light curtain. Now I wake with the light of the day.
You posts are such an inspiration...thank you again

The pale strider of the night, the dream-bringer, white-armed Selene.

And because she's the three-part goddess of maiden, mother and crone.

The full-bellied moon is the mother moon ready to give birth... to dreams, to a new you perhaps...who knows? Only the moon and she ain't telling.

Tho' possibly don't go moon-bathing in a bikini... it's a lot colder than sun-bathing!!!

Beautiful!!!
My bedroom does'nt have window coverings. Its on a second floor so we dont have to worry about peepers. lol. Some nights the moon is so bright she wakes me...
Its a nice way to tune yourself to the rythyms of moon rise and sunrise. I dont even need an alarm clock. The natural light wakes me in the morning. You keep taking good care of yourself girl@
