A Whole New World...

This evening, Buffy & Angel finally brought the goslings out from the safe haven of the goose shed for their first look at the big wide world outside. Cue a whole slew of gratuitous gosling photos...

Yes, I think we're as besotted as the proud parents.

OMG! They are so cute!! Did you decide on names?

Hope it isn't rude to say this, but, I never realized how cute goose butts were. They're darling!

Hi Moonroot -

our two Brecon Buffs - Dave & Roberta - are still waiting for signs of pipping action. I managed to get near the nest last week when I floated the eggs in a bowl of tepid water - at later stages of development the gosling inside the egg attempts to swim if it senses it is on water - but nothing happened so I'm not convinced the eggs are still viable.

I don't think we're too far away from you - we're near(ish) Newcastle Emlyn - so if you ever fancy dropping in for a cuppa & visiting our goat dairy, you'd be most welcome. Apparently somewhere down in our valley is the Gateway to the Otherworld; & at certain times a Wild Road is revealed, meandering up through the wood....a truly magical place. We are nestled in a little wooded valley at the border of the Prescellis, with the Frenni Fawr presiding in the near distance.

Happy (belated!) Beltane, BTW.

Best wishes, Jo & LittleFfarm Dairy menagerie.
